Dream nō or phantom nō. In mugen nō plays, the main character has other-worldly aspects, be it ghost or god, and often appears to the waki as in a dream. Most mugen nō have two acts. The shite appears in a this-worldly guise in the first act and changes costume to reappear transformed into his or her other-worldly true form in the second act.
